Technician Journeyman levelPay Rate:$27.50-$36.54 per hour.Pay rate

functionsPerforms maintenance activities on new and
rebuilt/repaired equipmentServices and maintains equipment sold
and/or owned by the companyRemoves, disassembles, assembles, and
installs components and partsTests measures, and adjusts engine and
machine systems and componentsDiagnoses and troubleshoots machine
and engine malfunctions and failuresMakes recommendations as to
repairs meeting warranty criteriaOrders replacement parts ensuring
that parts orders are correct and complete at the time of
orderCleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and
componentPrepares accurate and complete inspection, appraisal and
service reports, and turns them in on timeCommunicates effectively
with Service Writer, Shop Coordinators and Shop Managers to ensure
problems, nature of repair, and status of repairs are understood
and followed up onProvides direction, training, mentoring and
guidance to assigned service techniciansOther duties as assigned by
managerRequired Education and Experience:High School Diploma or
GEDGraduation from an accredited technical school in diesel engine
or earthmoving repair preferred4 years experience working on
Caterpillar equipment OR 4 years heavy equipment, engine, or
electric power generation system repair (EX: Caterpillar, John
Deere, Komatsu, etc.)1-3 years administrative/clerical
experience3-5 years customer service experienceCompetencies:Safety
KnowledgeReading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication
& math skillsCaterpillar Product KnowledgeBasic ability to search
for and enter data into a computerAbility to type service
reportsWork Environment:Noise Level: loud; Environment: Indoors and
OutdoorsPhysical Demands:Standing, walking, talking,
squatting/kneelingUse of Hands, HearingAscending or descending
ladders, stairs, etc.Heavy work that includes carrying, lifting
and/or moving objects up to 96 pounds or moreOther Duties:Job
