Job Description:

Document Management's Document Production Specialist works in a tight-knit, positive working environment. Primary responsibilities include formatting documents in Microsoft Word; creating Adobe PDF files with metadata; performing quality control reviews; posting files to SharePoint, a site document repository, and Enterprise Content Manager; maintaining working file and folder structures; and troubleshooting and solving problems. Job Duties: Process customer requests, set up file and folder structures Assign document numbers Act as liaison between customers, editors, and other staff Use SharePoint to track assignments Format documents and tables in Microsoft Word according to specifications Create and apply style guides Generate and format table of contents Create indexes using concordances Enter metadata, set properties, and create bookmarks Convert documents to PDF files and embed fonts Maintain formatting consistency Maintain document version control and track changes Participate in quality control reviews Coordinate with team members, team lead, and manager to ensure all assignments are completed on time Back up the Copy CenterEducation/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, or related field. Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience may be substituted Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, U.S. citizenship is required Desired: Advanced knowledge of Adobe Suite is a plus Knowledge of SharePoint and Content Manager is a plus We appreciate motivated applicants with a drive for providing exceptional customer service and impeccable organizational skills. Please note: If you don't have experience in a skill area, we're interested in knowing how quickly you are able to adapt to new technologies and software platforms, and what experience you may have in similar platforms.Required experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a document production environment requiring skills in document formatting Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat Professional Strong grasp of grammar, spelling, and punctuation Excellent attention to detail Can prioritize work, balance multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines Works cooperatively and constructively with teammates, clients, and leadership
