Job Summary:

Assists the Project Manager (PM) to plan, coordinate, direct and supervise personnel, subcontractors, and vendors engaged on projects ensuring that they complete the work on time, within budget and to the quality specified. Track and compile all pay quantities daily.

Job Responsibilities:

As directed by the PM, perform any of the duties assigned by the PM as well as assist with the following:

  • Project specific modifications to United standard procedures and subcontracts as approved by the Construction Manager
  • Internal reporting, including monthly job cost forecast
  • External reporting
  • Procurement of permits
  • Daily quantities records/pay notes
  • Meeting facilitation and meeting minutes
  • Approval and proper coding of all subcontractor / vendor payments
  • Review, approve and manage misc. vendor and labor expenditures
  • Preparation of Owner billing, processing of such
  • Review and submittal of subcontractor changes to PM/Estimator
  • Owner communications, including all change / delay notices
  • Oversight of submittal process
  • Oversight of clarification / document control process
  • Oversight of schedule management
  • Oversight of quality control process
  • Oversight of safety program
  • Develop and implement contract closeout plan

Other duties:

Participate in Company training, assist with pre-construction (including estimating and quantification), participate in Presentations and assist in development of proposals, participate in industry organizations.

Job Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of civil construction projects with at least 3 years of field experience
  • Competency in problem solving, decision making, dispute resolution, customer satisfaction, personnel management and overall leadership capability
  • Potential for future networking and marketing a plus.
  • Proficiency in Procore, MS Office Suite, MS Project highly desired

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception. Performing this job requires use of hands to, handle, objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
