Job Description:

Full-time (Mon-Fri), Days. Full benefits. Exellent Customer Service skills required. Bi-Lingual (Spanish) preferred.

Under the general supervision of the Director and Chief Technologist, this position is responsible for providing assistance to the radiologic technologist in aiding them in acquiring diagnostic images by transporting patients, assist with sterile tray set up, chaperone technologists, mix oral contrasts and administer to patients; restock supplies; makes copies and digitizes exams and makes sure patients completes proper pre-exam questionnaires. This position is responsible for the following clerical duties: enter patient orders, get proper paperwork with patient jacket to appropriate technologist, answers telephones and directs to appropriate person; files films, jackets and reports; checks films in and out; mailing files at patients request; prints schedules; makes new jackets, edits incorrect orders, prints and/or fax reports to physicians and other duties as need to assist department run smoothly.


Admits patients into the Radiologic RIS program timely and accurately

Mails requested film and creates CD?s appropriately and timely as requested.

Implements correct charging procedures and monitors daily for accurate charging. Assists in prioritization of any charge master changes, corrections, updates or additions.

Go to person for any issues in Intelebrowser (PACS)

Project personnel for utilizing, maintaining, and educating staff on the proper work flow of the LifeImaging system. This person will keep up with all upgrades and emails that go out to physicians and patients.

Attend all Webinars with LifeImaging.

Help market the department in new services provided

Outreach to Physicians every quarter

Update and process new policies in the Indidge program.


Demonstrates purposeful service excellence through exceeding patient and coworker expectations.

Represents the department/hospital as a dedicated, courteous, and responsive employee


Records pertinent documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements, professional standards and hospital policy.

Adheres to federal, state and hospital rules and regulations concerning HIPAA privacy and security.

Follows Hospital compliance plan and policies, including the Code of Conduct.

Participates in required training for compliance related activities (HIPAA, Compliance, Patient Safety, TJC, etc.)


Reports any patient care, departmental, or safety concern to the Director of supervisor as indicated. Participates in departmental response for any care improvement opportunity or safety concern.

Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition, making sure the room is properly supplied for radiology procedures.

Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings and is willing to take on projects for the improvement of the department as requested. Brings ideas to the department for improvement opportunities.

Participates in departmental and organizational education as requested. Assists with new staff orientation and mentoring as requested.

Performs the duty of verifying images and pushing the images from the ER US unit to the PACS system, for accurate dictation from the ER physicians

Monthly-Verifying all CT/MRI/Timeout forms in Galactica/PACS system and reporting this to the HEN project

Monthly-Graph all AVATAR scores and report this to the Director

Reaching out to RIA to get addendums completed

Takes care of the majority of patient complaint and following up with the Director

Clinic Coordinator will be the centralized locater for all equipment/personnel issues when the manager is away.

Demonstrates the ability to assess and interact with customers of all ages, recognizing language and learning barriers, and technology challenges.

Able to state his/her duties during a code pink drill.

· 2-3 years of experience in related field preferred


· Ability to concentrate and show attention to detail

· Relatively high degree of analytical abilities

· Strong interpersonal skills required

· Ability to work independently


· Ability to read and communicate effectively in English required, spanished preferred


· Normal patient care environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust and temperature

· May be exposed to communicable diseases through normal or careless performance of responsibilities

· May be exposed to mechanical dangers associated with mechanical devices

· May be exposed to stressful situations
