Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Grand Junction, CO Agency: SnapCare Pay: $2,098 per week Shift Information: Rotating Contract Duration: 12 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Respiratory Therapist Location: 2635 North 7th Street, St. Mary's Medical Center, CO 81501 SnapCare seeks a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. As a Respiratory Therapist , you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our patients in an acute care setting. Qualifications: Current license for Respiratory Therapy in the state of practice is required. Certified Respiratory Therapist certification is required. BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required. ACLS certification is required for critical care (additional certifications such as PALS, NALS, etc. may be required for specialty areas). (Preferred) Membership in national professional organizations (AARC, NBRC) is preferred. Responsibilities: Provides professional respiratory care through patient assessment, planning, intervention, education, and evaluation. Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures according to protocol. Obtains arterial gases. • Oversees and troubleshoots equipment for optimal patient care. Initiates Respiratory Protocol according to department criteria. Initiates interventions based on assessment interpretation. Administers medications in a timely and safe manner. Evaluates the effects of interventions and re-evaluates as needed, according to protocol. Ensures patient progress is communicated to staff, physicians, and other departments. Maintains awareness of patients' overall condition. Communicates and shares patient information with physicians and nurses. Makes appropriate recommendations for patient care. Recognizes and addresses the educational needs of patients and families regarding health promotion and wellness.
