Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Respiratory Therapist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 01/15/2027 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Position: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)/nShift: 12-hour day shifts, 3 per week/nCertifications Required: BLS & ACLS (AHA)/n/nJob Summary:/nThe RRT provides advanced respiratory care to diagnose, evaluate, treat, and manage cardiopulmonary deficiencies per physician orders. Acts as a resource to CRT staff and may lead special projects or initiatives./n/nKey Responsibilities:/n/nPerform and interpret diagnostic tests, including arterial gases; troubleshoot equipment; initiate respiratory protocols and interventions./n/nAdminister medications safely; evaluate effects and communicate patient progress to staff and physicians./n/nMonitor patients’ overall condition; provide recommendations for care./n/nEducate patients and families on self-care and wellness./n/nComplete accurate documentation and maintain equipment and supply inventory./n/nParticipate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and departmental meetings./n/nMentor and act as a resource for staff within the department./n/nFloat to other departments as needed and may be placed on-call./n/nOther duties as assigned.
