EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT Join our Emergency Department team at Moab
Regional Hospital! Rural nursing at its finest! You are comfortable
functioning as both a triage and primary care RN. Patients can
include everyone from neo-nates to geriatrics. The right candidate
is excited to perform a broad range of general nursing duties, has
excellent critical thinking skills, and is comfortable working with
a high level of autonomy. Low nurse to patient ratios, no low
census call offs, and a generous signing bonus make this a great
opportunity for a nurse who wants to practice care that emphasizes
patients over company profits. This is a non-exempt, full-time,
benefitted position. Anticipated Schedule: 3 x12's days and nights
Minimum requirements: Current, unencumbered Utah RN license (or
compact state) and graduate of an accredited nursing school. Two or
more years of nursing experience in a med/surg and/or emergency
department setting. Current BLS certification. ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
certifications or ability to obtain and use appropriately. Willing
and able to start EKGs, IVs, draw patient labs, provide comfort
measures, and mix and determine proper administration rates for
patient medications. Knowledge of infection control principles,
patient safety techniques, and prevention of adverse reactions to
medications/treatments. Strong critical thinking skills and ability
to maintain same in situations with rapidly changing events.
Self-motivated and able to work successfully both independently and
as part of a small team. Great customer service and communication
skills, including oral, written, and listening skills. Able to
handle stressful situations calmly and professionally; emotionally
mature. Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs without assistance and
lift/move weights beyond 50 lbs with assistance. Ability to work in
a confidential manner. Reliable and timely with work schedule.
