Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a CO or compact license and at least one year of recent OR experience. Responsibilities - Work in a general surgery operating room setting - Typical patient population includes surgical patients requiring perioperative care - Day shifts are 12 hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, three days per week - May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications - On-call responsibilities may be required during regularly scheduled shifts - Uses Epic EMR for charting; prior Epic experience required or preferred - Responsibilities include independent and delegated nursing functions according to state Board of Nursing standards - Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates comprehensive nursing care for surgical patients - Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and may supervise or delegate as needed - Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the employing health system - Compliance with all hospital and regulatory documentation and care standards is required - First-time travelers will be considered - Allow at least two weeks for background check and drug screen processing; timely completion of requirements is essential Requirements - Active CO or compact state RN license required at the time of consideration - Completion of an accredited ASN nursing program required; BSN preferred - Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; all certifications must be valid through assignment start - Minimum one year recent experience in the operating room specialty required - Experience with Epic charting system required or preferred Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-615939.
