Job Title: Radiology Technologist Profession: Radiology Technologist Specialty: - Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: N/A License: Registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certifications: CT certified, BLS - American Heart Association Must-Have: N/A Description: In this position, the Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures to obtain desired radiographic results according to physician specifications. This includes transferring patients for examinations and utilizing ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. The technologist assists with the x-ray examination process. Responsible for the appropriate operation of all x-ray imaging and related equipment. Educates, positions, immobilizes, and performs x-ray procedures appropriately. Coordinates x-ray examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care. Understands and follows provider imaging orders correctly. Submits required images and related clinical information for interpretation. Evaluates image quality appropriately. Maintains open, accurate, and responsive communication with patients, coworkers, and leadership. Utilizes, charges, and maintains department supplies appropriately. Practices sterile technique and follows infection prevention policies. Handles multiple tasks/projects and meets deadlines effectively. Safely performs x-ray procedures, including patient transfer. Prepares and administers contrast according to protocol. Follows radiation safety measures to ensure patient and staff safety. Supervises and evaluates student radiographers in the clinical setting.
