ID: 46594366 Shift: Full-Time Description: pre/intra/post procedure nursing care (assessment, monitoring, intervention and education) related to diagnostic and therapeutic adult cardiac catheterization procedures including (but not limited to) angioplasty, coronary stents, Swan Ganz/right heart catheterization, and pericardiocentesis.Assess the patient upon admission to the cardiac cath lab department, ensuring all labs orders and results are in patient chart, H P within 30 days of procedure, contrast allergy noted, consents are present and familiarize self with patient chart.Administer intravenous and oral medications to patients per physician order and according to policy and procedure.Demonstrate knowledge in the following: angioplasty, coronary stents, Swan Ganz/right heart cath, pericardiocentesis, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and recognition of cardiac rhythms. s Degree in nursing (or its equivalent).At least two(2) years of cardiac catheterization experience required.Current, unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse.Current BLSCurrent ALSRCIS preferred, or obtained within 1 year Position Start Billing string = Medefis Guaranteed Hours: 32 Contract Weeks:91
