Our team is versed in a variety of project methodologies including waterfall, agile, or hybrid, with the goal of helping health plan business teams successfully deliver critical project goals and overall process improvement changes.Project Management: PMO Project Managers are generalists in healthcare, and have the ability to develop the underlying framework, work plan, and deliverables of any type of project or program, providing global oversight between the health plan, Optum technical teams, C&S/UHC program teams, and vendor accounts as applicable. The Project Manager is responsible for managing project scope, requirements, timelines, assigned project resources, budget, quality oversight, risk and change management, escalation, and project and health plan communications. This role supports the health plan, to ensure oversight of critical regulatory and compliance related projects, system application upgrades during platform migration runout, and other projects and programs where the health plan has contractual delivery obligations. -Project Managers successfully drive the project at a pace that will energize the team, while bringing flexible adaptability to complex projects with shifting scope and deadlines.   • Manages cross functional projects and teams by aligning design and goals with preset strategy. Design and plan goals based on a solid understanding of Project Management techniques and health plan priorities. Drive results through effective facilitation and clear direction resulting in timely and effective solutions -that are within budget and approved resources
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with geographically dispersed teams
  • Convene appropriate teams to proactively determine project requirements, overall scope, critical milestones, and deliverables. Work with technical and business teams to build a proactive release plan and timeline that aligns with sprint cycles or critical project milestones
  • Develop, manage, and maintain project plans, budgets, and scope using standard project management methodologies and tools
  • Use independent thought to research, organize, and evaluate data to resolve problems where established procedures and precedents do not always apply. Identify, evaluate, and solve problems, using tact and diplomacy to resolve disputed items. Determine alternatives based on guidelines
  • Provide coaching, feedback, training, and interventions necessary to ensure project success
  • Coordinate work with other project managers and staff, assuring overall project continuity and efficiency. Communicate regularly with the PMO Department Manager. Escalate issues as appropriate
  • Upon successful attainment of project deliverables, archive and retain project records and documents. Create and communicate final project report, provide performance feedback on project team members, and measure customer satisfaction upon project completion
  • Understand and apply knowledge of the project delivery life cycle and change management processes
  • Drive forward progress, anticipate and proactively remove roadblocks, build transparent processes, be clear with expectations, and empower team members to be self-accountable and deliver results

    • Undergraduate degree or the combination of education and equivalent work experience
    • PMP certification
    • 3+ years project management experience
    • Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project methodologies
    • Experience collaborating across a matrix organization
    • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS TeamsPreferred Qualifications:
      • SCRUM Master and/or Six Sigma certification
      • Healthcare experience

The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900.
